From Italy to Vienna, the music resounds: Between March 27 and 29, the Wiener Symphoniker will once again blend Mediterranean spring flair with Viennese musical culture. For the second time, Primavera da Vienna offers a weekend full of emotion, elegance, and southern joie de vivre – set against the unique backdrop of the Politeama Rossetti in the heart of Trieste.

Blossoming timbres and southern cantilenas: The opening concert is dedicated to romantic soundscapes. Under the baton of Chief Conductor Petr Popelka, Max Bruch’s beloved Violin Concerto No. 1 – performed by renowned violinist Renaud Capuçon – meets the cheerful spirit of Mendelssohn’s Italian Symphony and the vivid brilliance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.

An evening of operatic dialogue between cultures: The second night centers on the cultural exchange between Italy and Austria, with arias and scenes from operas by Giacomo Puccini alongside operetta highlights by Franz Lehár. Under the starry dome of the Politeama Rossetti, soprano Krassimira Stoyanova and tenor Francesco Meli will give voice to earthly and heavenly passions in a series of stirring arias and duets.

A festive finale with a maestro at the keys: The Wiener Symphoniker close the festival with their long-time artistic companion, pianist Rudolf Buchbinder, who will interpret three piano concertos by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a dual role as conductor and soloist.

Tickets for all three concerts are now available, with a 10% discount for supporters of the Wiener Symphoniker. The full festival subscription – which includes all three concerts – offers a 20% discount compared to single ticket prices.
