A Triple Mozart Celebration

80 years old and not the slightest bit quiet! Rudolf Buchbinder, Austria’s doyen of pianists, will celebrate his milestone birthday in 2026 with a full year of concert appearances! Among his signature offerings is a very special treat: performing a triple concerto evening, presenting three piano concertos in one night. Audiences in Trieste will be treated to three of W. A. Mozart’s magnificent piano concertos – a composer whose music is as close to Buchbinder’s heart as are the Wiener Symphoniker, his long-time musical partner. Since his debut with the orchestra in 1967, Buchbinder has performed with them nearly 400 times, and was named an honorary member in 1992. The fruits of this enduring artistic partnership will now be on display at the Festival Primavera da Vienna, in a performance of three of Mozart’s most beloved concertos: C major KV 467, A major KV 488 and Mozart's final piano concerto B-flat major KV 595.
