Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions
For all deliveries or services, in particular the sale of tickets by the Verein Wiener Symphoniker (Verein under Austrian law) in cooperation with the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft, the General Terms and Conditions of Sale as amended from time to time shall apply.
General
The following terms and conditions apply to concerts organised by the Verein Wiener Symphoniker in cooperation with the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft, to the Wiener Symphoniker chamber music series, and to the Wiener Symphoniker’s Primavera da Vienna festival in Trieste. Ticket sales for these events are handled by the Ticket & Service Centre of the Wiener Konzerthaus.
For events organised independently by the Wiener Symphoniker at the Musikverein Wien, the General Terms and Conditions of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien shall apply. For all other events, you enter into a legal relationship with the respective organiser upon purchasing tickets. Different terms and conditions may apply. Detailed information is available from the respective organiser. The house rules of the respective venue apply to all events.
1. Ticket Orders and Purchases
Ticket orders and purchases are binding in all forms. Ticket reservations are not possible, nor is the return of purchased or ordered tickets.
2. Advance Ticket Sales
Information regarding the start of ticket sales for individual concerts can be found in the detailed information for the event of your choice. Advance sales for supporting members of the Wiener Symphoniker begin at least seven days prior to general advance sales.
3. Telephone Ticket Purchases
Tickets may be purchased by telephone using a credit card. Tickets may be collected from the Ticket & Service Centre of the Wiener Konzerthaus up until immediately before the event. Refunds are not possible for tickets that are not collected.
4. Receipt of Tickets
E-Ticket
Your tickets will be provided by email. They may be downloaded either as a wallet/passbook ticket or as a print@home ticket.
For secure use, please note the following: only the first printed copy of a print@home ticket or the first presentation of a mobile ticket entitles the holder to admission. Please therefore store your printouts or files carefully and protect them from unauthorised access. It is not relevant for admission whether you can identify yourself as the purchaser of the ticket. Upon the first electronic scanning of the barcode/QR code, the ticket will be blocked for further entry. Additional printouts or copies of print@home tickets, or subsequent presentation of identical mobile tickets, do not entitle the holder to admission, exchange, or refund.
Postal Delivery
Purchased tickets may be sent by post upon request (excluding telephone purchases). Dispatch takes place after receipt of payment.
Collection at the Ticket & Service Centre
Purchased tickets may be deposited at the Ticket & Service Centre. They will be issued after full payment of the purchase price and all associated charges and fees. The deadline for collection is indicated on the receipt sent to you.
5. Right of Admission
The right of admission to the respective event is acquired only upon full payment of the ticket price and all associated fees and charges. The organiser fulfils its obligation to grant admission upon first presentation of a valid ticket. The organiser is entitled to refuse admission to persons presenting a ticket if the ticket has not been fully paid for. This also applies accordingly if a payment originally made is subsequently reversed.
6. Right of Withdrawal
Pursuant to Section 18(1)(10) of the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG), there is no right of withdrawal in respect of services related to leisure activities where a specific date or period for performance is contractually provided. In accordance with Section 4(1)(11) FAGG, we hereby inform you that no right of withdrawal exists when purchasing admission tickets or subscriptions.
7. Resale
Commercial resale of tickets is prohibited without the prior written consent of the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft. This includes the commercial public offering of tickets, particularly via internet auctions and marketplaces. The Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft reserves the right to refuse future ticket purchases to persons who violate this prohibition, to cancel existing tickets without replacement, and to take further legal action.
8. Warranty
Statutory warranty provisions shall apply.
9. Data Protection
Your data are processed for the performance of contracts and pre-contractual measures, to fulfil legal obligations, and to safeguard legitimate interests. Further information on data processing, retention periods and your rights can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Cooperative Events: For events organised by the Wiener Symphoniker in cooperation with the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft, as well as events of the Wiener Symphoniker for which ticket sales are handled via the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft, your data will be processed by all cooperation partners. In such cases, your rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection apply vis-à-vis all cooperation partners.
10. Changes & Concert Cancellations
Information on our website is updated daily. You will be informed in writing at the email or postal address you have provided of any substantial changes that become known in good time. To ensure that all visitors can be informed of any changes, we kindly ask you to book tickets only in the names of those who will use them.
If a concert must be cancelled, a replacement concert will generally be offered. If you do not wish to accept this offer, please return your ticket to the Ticket & Service Centre. You will receive a full refund of the ticket price. Any further claims against the organiser are excluded if the organiser is not responsible for the cancellation. This applies in particular to travel and accommodation costs.
11. Wheelchair Spaces
For visitors requiring wheelchair-accessible seating, a contingent of wheelchair-accessible seats is available at special conditions for all events. When purchasing single tickets, wheelchair spaces must be booked during advance sales up to one week prior to the event. A seat for an accompanying person is available in close proximity. Wheelchair spaces may be ordered by email at ticket@konzerthaus.at up to one week before the event.
12. Image and Sound Recordings
Image and sound recordings during the performance are not permitted. Photographs, film recordings or television recordings may be made during the performance you attend by us or by persons accredited by us. By purchasing your ticket, you consent to the publication or other public dissemination (e.g. on television or online) of recordings in which you may appear, for the purpose of informing the public about the respective event, the performing artists, or the Wiener Symphoniker and their programme in general. Your consent also includes publication and dissemination by third parties authorised by the Wiener Symphoniker or to whom such recordings are made available.
13. Retention of Title
All purchased items remain the property of the organiser until full payment of the purchase price and all associated costs and charges has been made.
14. Methods of Payment
Credit Card
The following credit cards are accepted: VISA, Mastercard, American Express, JCB. The amount due will be debited from your credit card.
SEPA Direct Debit Mandate
You grant the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft a one-off authorisation to collect the amount due from your account. At the same time, you instruct your bank to honour the direct debit drawn on your account.

Special Provisions for Subscriptions
The following special provisions apply when purchasing subscriptions offered in cooperation with the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft.
1. New Subscriptions
Subscriptions may be purchased via our website wienersymphoniker.at/subscriptions.
Subscription orders are accepted in writing only. Processing takes place in order of receipt and subject to availability. Supporting members of the Wiener Symphoniker receive a 17.5% discount on up to two subscriptions per cycle.
2. Subscription Renewal (“Subscribed Seats”)
Your subscription seats from the previous season remain reserved until a specified date (announced at the start of subscription sales), unless you delete the reservation yourself in the ticket shop. If you wish to renew, please extend online or submit any changes by this date. Unchanged subscriptions may be renewed online at tickets.wienersymphoniker.at/de/login. Changes may be submitted in writing by email ticket@konzerthaus.at
In the cycle Vorhören!, retention of subscribed seats or reservation of subscriptions from the previous season is unfortunately not possible.
3. Seating Requests
Please refer to the respective seating plan for price categories. Where possible, adjacent seats will be allocated. We are happy to consider your seating requests, but kindly ask for your understanding that many seats are already occupied by regular subscribers from the previous year.
4. Wheelchair Spaces (Subscriptions)
The stated price of a wheelchair subscription includes one accompanying person: the wheelchair space costs €14 per ticket, and the accompanying subscription is reduced by 50% of the standard price. If no accompanying person is required, the subscription price will be reduced accordingly.
5. Youth Subscriptions
For children and young people aged 8–18, we offer the cycle Vorhören!. For all other cycles, a youth subscription is available with a youth membership (cut-off date 1 September 1995). Please enter the date of birth in the customer data. If no youth membership has yet been applied for the respective season, it will automatically be invoiced when ordering a youth subscription.
If youth subscriptions are ordered together with other subscriptions, please submit a separate order for each youth member or include the name and date of birth of the youth member in your order. Only one youth subscription per cycle is sold per person; it is non-transferable. If a ticket is transferred to another person, the difference to the standard price must be paid. When attending events, the membership card and official photo ID must be presented.
