Am 30. Oktober 2025 feiern die Wiener Symphoniker ihren 125. Geburtstag im Musikverein Wien! Seit den ersten Konzerten mit dem neuen Chefdirigenten Petr Popelka im September 2024 bis zum Festkonzert am Geburtstag steht alles im Zeichen dieses großen Jubiläums.

More Advent, more Vienna and more contemplation is not possible when the Wiener Symphoniker return to the spectacular setting of St Stephen's Cathedral for their grand Advent concert.

Under the title "Cinema:Sound", the Wiener Symphoniker continue their long tradition of film music and bringing a film music legend to Vienna every year to guide the orchestra through its soundscapes: in 2026, Scottish composer Patrick Doyle will be conducting.

Since 2025, the traditional Viennese orchestra has been celebrating the musical start of spring in Trieste, presenting a diverse programme at the Politeama Rossetti as part of the Primavera da Vienna festival!

On the day before the big race, the Wiener Symphoniker and the VCM are presenting the Concert for the Marathon. What's special: Musicians among the runners will have the unique opportunity to perform together with the renowned orchestra on stage in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein Wien. Wiener Symphoniker and runners united in one orchestra!

In spring, various chamber music ensembles of the Wiener Symphoniker perform in the Grätzl's pubs and bars on one evening and invite you to go music-hopping in the pubs free of charge.

To mark the start of the holidays, the Wiener Symphoniker invite you to an open-air concert in the Wiener Prater. Pack a picnic blanket and enjoy a colourful concert programme against the spectacular backdrop of the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel! Admission free.
