As part of the Fête de la Musique, ARTE presented the eight-hour europiano marathon, showcasing piano concert performances from concert halls across Europe. The Wiener Symphoniker had the honour of opening the broadcast from the Wiener Konzerthaus, with Yulianna Avdeeva performing Johannes Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1 under the direction of Petr Popelka.
