Vier Jugendliche mit Urkunde

Jonas Taschler on trombone, Levente Bubreg on bassoon, Lukas Grum on flute, and Samuel Neubauer on clarinet are the WSY-Talents 2025! These young musicians impressed the expert jury and were awarded the "WSY-Talent" prize for up-and-coming artists. The Wiener Symphoniker warmly congratulate them and looks forward to the upcoming concert together.

In cooperation with the youth music competition prima la musica, the Wiener Symphoniker annually award the WSY-Talent Prize to outstanding young musicians between the ages of 14 and 19. This award not only recognizes exceptional talent but also offers the recipients the unique opportunity to perform on stage with the orchestra. The prizewinners prepare a solo piece with orchestral accompaniment, which is then performed as part of a public concert.

This year, the prize focused on the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba, and percussion. Out of 65 applicants, ten candidates were invited to audition on June 23, 2025. The expert jury - comprising representatives from prima la musica, Musik der Jugend, and principal players of the Wiener Symphoniker - selected four outstanding talents. These young musicians will now rehearse and perform with the Wiener Symphoniker under the baton of Martin Kerschbaum in the fall.

The concert of the winners will take place on Sunday, 19 October 2025, at 11:00 am in the Mozart-Saal of the Wiener Konzerthaus. There, the young soloists will perform together with the orchestra for a wide audience. Tickets are available now.
