The promotion of young musicians is a special concern of the Wiener Symphoniker. Together with the youth music competition prima la musica, they offer the WSY Talent Award every season and invite exceptional musical talents between the ages of 14 and 19 to join them on stage to make music.
Together with the traditional Viennese orchestra, the finalists work on a solo piece with orchestral accompaniment and perform it at a public concert.
