The Wiener Symphoniker are travelling to Trieste - join us!
 

From 2025, the Viennese orchestra will move the start of its musical spring to Trieste and give three concerts as part of the newly founded Easter festival Primavera da Vienna. The Wiener Symphoniker want to take up the impetus that the European Capitals of Culture Nova Gorica and Gorizia will give to the entire region as European Capitals of Culture 2025 and anchor it in the long term. Trieste will be the setting for a new supra-regional experience.

The Wiener Symphoniker and the Politeama Rossetti are linked by a long tradition: the orchestra first gave a concert at the Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia Il Rossetti back in 1902. In the orchestra's 125-year history, nine concerts have taken place in Trieste.

At the new Easter Festival, the musicians of the Wiener Symphoniker will make their home in the Politeama Rossetti for around a week and revitalise the cultural exchange between Italy and Austria.
