Springtime from Vienna The Wiener Symphoniker In Trieste

Triest · Politeama Rossetti
Sujet Primavera da Vienna: gemalte Elemente aus Triest und Wien

Two symphonies that made history: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote his Prague Symphony before travelling to Prague, where it was premiered in 1787. Conductor Petr Popelka comes from Prague himself and is enchanted by the beauty of this music. Gustav Mahler's Fourth Symphony with its setting of the poem Der Himmel hängt voller Geigen and a musical resurrection of the dead is also gripping. Soprano Julia Kleiter will perform this work together with the Wiener Symphoniker, which Gustav Mahler himself considered to be one of his most powerful works.

Julia Kleiter has had to cancel her participation in the concert due to health reasons. We are pleased that Sarah Wegener has kindly agreed at short notice to take over the soprano part in Gustav
Mahler’s Symphony No. 4.
