Fridays@7 Season 2024-25

4 concerts
Sol Gabetta

A great concert followed by a relaxed musical finale in the Grand Foyer - there is no better way to get into the mood for the weekend. The Fridays@7 format has long since become a concert tradition, especially as the guests promise unique musical experiences:

The new chief conductor of the Wiener Symphoniker will take you on a journey to his musical homeland of Prague - following in the footsteps of Mozart. Pianist Rudolf Buchbinder plays Richard Strauss' magnificent Burleske, and cellist Sol Gabetta takes you into the seductive soundscapes of Camille Saint-Saëns' Cello Concerto, before Lorenzo Viotti makes Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade dance. Christoph Eschenbach brings works by Rachmaninov and Dvořák. Afterwards, the Vienna Symphony Jazz Project, the Ensemble kammerfunk, the Dolby's Around and the Eight Cellists of the Wiener Symphoniker promise a relaxed start to the weekend.
