Such a loss

We mourn the loss of our honorary conductor Georges Prêtre who died yesterday at the age of 92. We had the privilege to share the stage for more than 320 magical concerts – the last time as recently as three months ago when his rendition of Ravels Bolero received standing ovations at the Musikverein Wien.

A true gentleman, a musical legend - he will never be forgotten!
