With Brahms' First and Second Symphonies in our luggage, we set off on tour through Austria on 16 January. The Wiener Symphoniker have the music of the Viennese-born composer in their blood, they say. With the Spanish conductor Pablo Heras-Casado, we will first perform on two evenings at the Graz Congress, where we have appeared annually since 1947 under the direction of renowned conductors. Heras-Casado celebrates his debut there.

We continue to Salzburg for two concerts in the Großes Festspielhaus. The last stop in Austria is the Festspielhaus Bregenz before we travel to Baden-Baden for a guest performance. There, Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor is on the programme with pianist Jan Lisiecki.
