Where exactly will the Prater Picnic take place?

The concert will take place on the Kaiserwiese in front of the main entrance to the Wurstelprater - a two-minute walk from the Praterstern underground and S-Bahn station. 

What is the best way to get there?

We recommend arriving by public transport. There is a paid parking garage in Ausstellungsstraße. Otherwise, parking spaces in the area are scarce and the bicycle racks may be busy.

Admission to the Prater Picnic is free. Can I just get there?

5,500 visitors are admitted to the site. Admission is at 5 p.m. The first 5,500 people will be admitted to the concert area. The concert starts at 7:30 pm.

Who can I take to the Prater Picnic?

The Prater Picnic is suitable for all ages. Due to the limited space available, we recommend that families with small children choose carriers or other transport options instead of prams. Dogs have to stay at home.

What can I bring to the Prater Picnic?

All visitors are invited to bring their own picnic blankets and filled picnic baskets. There will also be picnic blankets and drinks available for purchase on site. (Camping) chairs and other furniture are not allowed.

What happens in case of bad weather?

The concert will take place even in case of inclement weather. In the event of weather forecast, please bring rain protection. Umbrellas are not permitted.

What infrastructure is there on site?

As with any large public event, there will be toilet containers. At the Wiener Symphoniker stand you can buy picnic blankets, T-shirts, caps and take-away cups. Also use the Prater's gastronomic offerings.

What payment options are available?

You can pay in cash or by debit or credit card. 

Is there a platform for visitors with disabilities?

Yes, the platform is located near the Red Cross tent. 

I have found or lost something on the grounds. What can I do?

Please hand in any lost property at the Prater Information Centre (at the entrance to the Riesenradplatz). To get your lost things back contact the Vienna Lost and Found Office on telephone number +43 1 4000-8091 or by e-mail to fundservice@ma48.wien.gv.at.

Will the concert be broadcast on television?

The concert on 30 June will be broadcast on the same day at 9:20 pm on ORF 2. Afterwards, the concert will be available on ORF TV-Thek for 7 days.
