Concerts and guided tours around Vienna: the chamber music of the Wiener Symphoniker and Vienna's history meet at the Wien Museum!
After the successful chamber music series at the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Austrian National Library, the popular series with guided tour and concert moves on to the newly opened Wien Museum in the 24-25 season. Included is once again an introduction to the current special exhibition, a one-hour chamber concert and new: a subsequent Meet the Artists in the café bar ‘& töchter’.
Kick-off with the Celloschrammeln
The Celloschrammeln will kick off the series with the Secession exhibition on 13 June. The term ‘Secession’ is directly associated with Gustav Klimt in Vienna, Franz von Stuck in Munich and Max Liebermann in Berlin. Works by these artists take centre stage in the guided tour. The concert that follows features works by Josef Schrammel, Johann Schmalhofer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Hans Gál and the evening's contra-guitarist himself, Peter Havlicek.
