The Wiener Symphoniker's new spring festival offers three concerts with chief conductor Petr Popelka and different programmes at the Politeama Rossetti in Trieste:
The concert on Friday, 11 April will focus on opera with ballet music from Verdi operas and the first act from Wagner's ‘Die Walküre’.
In the concert on Saturday, 12 April, Popelka will juxtapose Mozart's ‘Prague’ Symphony with Mahler's Fourth.
In the TV concert on Sunday, 13 April, you can expect pieces about Italy by Johann Strauss (son), Piotr I. Tchaikovsky and more.
