Bregenzer Festspiele 2022

Orchestra in Residence: the Wiener Symphoniker

21.6.2022

For the 76th time, the Wiener Symphoniker will travel from Vienna to Bregenz this summer to help shape the festival summer as the orchestra in residence. To kick off the festival, the musicians will be in town on 17 July - the day of the Wiener Symphoniker - and can also be experienced at the chamber music concerts in various ensembles.

Giacomo Puccini's "Madame Butterfly" promises to be an emotional opera on the Seebühne. It celebrates its premiere on 20 July, with another 25 performances to follow until 21 August. In the Festspielhaus, Umberto Giordano's opera "Siberia" as well as our three orchestra concerts conducted by Enrique Mazzola, Karina Canellakis and Marie Jacquot are on the programme.
