Unfortunately, the extraordinary format of our Wiener Symphoniker@7 series has to be adjusted this season due to the current situation in connection with the fight against the corona pandemic. The traditional finale in the large foyer is currently not allowed due to lack of space. Therefore the respective programs are partially adapted. In addition, all concerts in the series do not start until 7.30 p.m. until further notice.
For scheduling reasons, the concerts from May 20 and 21, 20201 had to be rescheduled to September 7 and 8 2020. This necessary shift also results in a change in the cast and program. On September 7th and 8th, the conductor Daniel Harding and pianist Rudolf Buchbinder will present Robert Schumann's piano concerto op. 54 and Richard Strauss' sound poem Also sprach Zarathustra.
In order to be able to guarantee the safety distance required for events in autumn 2020, the seats for some concerts also had to be reassigned. In the coming days, subscribers to the concerts will receive information on their new seats for the concerts concerned.
Single tickets for the concerts in September will go on sale on August 5 for supporting members of the Wiener Symphoniker, and general sales will begin one week later on August 12, as usual. Tickets can then be obtained from the Ticket & Service Center of the Wiener Konzerthaus at +43 1242 002 and Konzerthaus.at.
