Info
This concert of the Wiener Symphoniker took place in the framework of the Wiener Festwochen on June 14, 1964 and was at the same time the first collaboration of the conductor Josef Krips with Fritz Wunderlich. The Wiener Symphoniker performed masterfully, as all the newspaper reviews of the time made clear. Even today, the listener can still sense the deep and wonderfully harmonious relationship that had developed between Krips and the orchestra during an artistic partnership that had lasted many years.
