Under the baton of Music Director Philippe Jordan the Wiener Symphoniker will perform this year a spring-like programme with a distinctive American flavour in the flower-bedecked Great Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus. In addition to Leonard Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story the audience will be treated to renditions of two Jazz-infused, Broadway-inspired pieces by George Gershwin. Artist in Residence Jean-Yves Thibaudet will star in the marvellous Piano Concerto in F which be accompanied by the Symphonic Fantasy „An American in Paris.“
