Info
Following on from the acclaimed cycle of Beethoven symphonies last season, this year’s concerts at the Musikverein with Music Director Philippe Jordan and the Wiener Symphoniker focus on another great B of music history: Anton Bruckner. Three programmes present the final three symphonies by the Austrian genius, opening up new contexts by placing them alongside works of the twentieth century and, in doing so, making it clear how modern Bruckner’s symphonic writing really was.
