Experience great symphonic masterpieces and colourful soundscapes, including the major anniversary concerts celebrating 125 years Wiener Symphoniker.

Right at the start, the Wiener Symphoniker and their chief conductor Petr Popelka celebrate the orchestra's 125th birthday with works that were important for the orchestra: Maurice Ravel's Piano Concerto for the Left Hand and Alban Berg's Sieben frühe Lieder were premiered by the orchestra. The programme is rounded off with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Jupiter Symphony. Large symphonic orchestral works such as Richard Strauss' Alpine Symphony and Antonín Dvořák's Eighth Symphony mark further highlights of the cycle alongside lively works by Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin.

The sound-experimental work Between Trees by Norwegian composer Tjøgersen will be performed under the baton of Principal Guest Conductor Marie Jacquot. Soloists such as Augustin Hadelich and Sheku Kanneh-Mason will shine in selected solo concertos. Internationally acclaimed stars such as Leif Ove Andsnes and Anna Vinnitskaya provide the great piano sound with piano concertos by Brahms, Mozart, Rachmaninov and Bartók.
