Info
The first collaboration between Fabio Luisi and the Wiener Symphoniker took place during two opera productions of the Bregenzer Festspiele. Eight years later, in 2002, Luisi conducted two momentous concert productions at the Musikverein. It rarely happens that 128 individualists unanimously offer a conductor the position of the Principal Conductor after such a short introductory phase. Among others, Fabio Luisi is the bearer of the “Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art” as well as the “Brucknerring” of the Wiener Symphoniker. In this recording, Fabio Luisi conducts Schumann's 4 Symphonies and the Konzertstück for four horns and large orchestra.
A complete recording of Schumann's symphonies from 2010, conducted by the former Music Director Fabio Luisi.
