Pack your bags for spring

Join us for three days to welcome spring on the Italian Adriatic coast. The Wiener Symphoniker return to Trieste, where Primavera da Vienna traditionally celebrates nature, culture and the people of the region. Your guide on this extraordinary journey south is Chief Conductor Petr Popelka, who will take to the podium for three evenings at the magnificent Politeama Rossetti, with its striking sky-blue fresco.

The opening concert features works by Giuseppe Verdi, Richard Strauss and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Alongside the Wiener Symphoniker, soprano Alina Wunderlin will appear, and she will also perform in the lively gala concert with music by Josef Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The closing evening brings Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 and his Piano Concerto No. 5, with Lise de la Salle as soloist. An unforgettable journey filled with the finest harmonies of spring.
