Info
The Wiener Symphoniker and their public have been celebrating the New Year with Beethoven's "Ninth" for nearly 40 years. What work could communicate both humanist spirit and unmistakable optimism at the threshold to a new era more persuasively than Ludwig van Beethoven's symphony, made legendary above all because of its final movement? The Polish conductor Krzysztof Urbanski, one the most promising talents among the young shooting stars of the craft, leads the orchestra and the internationally renowned soloists. Please note: This concert is presented as part of a cooperation between the Wiener Symphoniker and the Wiener Konzerthaus Society.
