Info
The chamber music cycle, a favourite project of the Wiener Symphoniker, launches its new season with "Piano Meets Percussion". The winners of German broadcaster ARD's music competition in 2010, piano duo Johanna Gröbner and Veronika Trisko, will meet two of the Wiener Symphoniker's percussionists, Flip Philipp-Pesendorfer and Thomas Schindl, in the Brahms Hall. The ensemble will apply the versatile and colourful combination of piano and percussion to one of Flip Philipp's own compositions, "Ouverture for Hands", as well as to famous orchestral works such as Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" and Ravel's "La Valse" and "Bolero" in new, exciting arrangements.
