Info
To conclude the season in the Wiener Konzerthaus there will be a reunion with one of the great stars of the international conducting scene: Jakub Hruša, who recently also headed the Bamberg Symphony and last performed with the Wiener Symphoniker at the traditional Austrian National Day concert in 2014. One of the world's most sought-after violinists, Frank Peter Zimmermann, will be standing next to him. His varied repertoire ranges from Bach and Brahms via Mozart to contemporary music. He has premiered numerous violin concertos – including those by Brett Dean and Matthias Pinscher – and is especially esteemed as an exemplary interpreter of Viennese Classicism. To round off the season, Zimmermann will interpret the work that he once described as the "piece of pieces", and the "most beautiful adventure" of them all: Beethoven's Violin Concerto. Please note: This concert is presented as part of a cooperation between the Wiener Symphoniker and the Wiener Konzerthaus Society.
