Info
The Wiener Symphoniker have always had a special love for chamber music. Orchestra members indulge in their passion for making music in various constellations on a small scale, which for many is the actual supreme discipline of musical work. The chamber music concerts of the Wiener Symphoniker during the season 2019-20 present the richness and diversity of musical varieties within orchestral life in concentrated form and, in the process, exceed every now and then purely musical genre borders. And so, the programme of the Kurt Weill evening which includes seldom heard musical gems and popular musical masterpieces as well as literary texts by companions and models for the composer, compiled by Gergely Sugar, both horn player of the Wiener Symphoniker and an increasingly successful conductor, will depict an impressive and moving portrait of one of the most versatile and fascinating artists of the early 20th century.
