Info
When the Wiener Symphoniker named the young Israeli conductor Lahav Shani as their designated Principial Guest Conductor from the 2017-18 season onwards, the response from audiences and critics was divided. After their first joint CD recording and a European tour, the critical voices have fallen silent. Shani is now also the designated chief conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, following on from Yannick Nézet-Séguin. And now the Viennese public will once more have the opportunity to hear the evidence that, in Lahav Shani, the Symphoniker have managed to acquire one of the great talents of the conducting world. Please note: This concert is presented as part of a cooperation between the Wiener Symphoniker and the Wiener Konzerthaus Society.
