The Konzerthaus will resound with the "greatest and holiest work of musical art of all peoples", as musicologist Adolf Bernhard Marx described it, at the beginning of Holy Week. With a performance of Bach’s St Matthew Passion, the orchestra’s Music Director Philippe Jordan passes the first milestone on his journey to perform the great oratorios of the master from Eisenach with the Wiener Symphoniker over the coming seasons. In cooperation with the Festival OsterKlang Wien 2015 and the Wiener Konzerthaus Society.
