Info
High praise indeed: critics have already compared Philippe Jordan's conducting of the Beethoven-Bártok-cycle with Leonard Bernstein's groundbreaking interpretations of Gustav Mahler's symphonies. And the dialogue between Beethoven's piano concertos and Bártok's orchestral masterpieces has also been well received by audiences: nearly all performances have sold out. It would be best to hurry if you want a seat at the writing of musical history. The next edition of the ever-popular Fridays@7 cycle takes place on 1st April. At the end of this concert Artist in Residence, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, will join Philippe Jordan on another successful project: MoZuluArt featuring the Ambassade Quartet effortlessly merge congenial traditional Zulu sounds with classical music. Please note: This concert is presented as part of a cooperation between the Wiener Symphoniker and the Wiener Konzerthaus Society.
