Seasonal Partnerships

Over the course of its more than a century long history the Wiener Symphoniker have performed with the world's leading soloists. Since the 2014-15 season the orchestra invites each year - in addition to the coming and going of prestigious virtuosos - an Artist in Residence to work with them for several concerts on a seasonal thematic focus. In engaging the Grammy-winning Bronfman as their Artist in Residence for the 2019–20 season, the Wiener Symphoniker have, without a doubt, scored another artistic coup.

The Austrian daily Die Presse called him once "the best violinist in the world":  Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider is the Artist in Residence of the Wiener Symphoniker in the season 2018-19.

The focal point of Julia Fischer’s residency with the Wiener Symphoniker will be three classics of the violin repertoire, as well as an evening of chamber music in which the public can get to know this versatile artist as a pianist.
