The focus of the third concert of the Wiener Symphoniker at the Bregenz Festival 2012 is on the Austrian composer, conductor and chansonnier Heinz Karl Gruber, also known as HK Gruber. At this concert in the Festival Hall on Monday 6 August 2012, he presents himself in all three functions: as a conductor on the podium of the Vienna Symphony, first with works by Hanns Eisler and Kurt Weill, after the break with his composition Frankenstein!!, where he also takes on the role of the chansonnier. Combined with catchy rhythmic and melodic variety of music the "pandemonium for singer and orchestra" - as it says in the subtitle - became one of the most performed works of contemporary music. The "Pandemonium" is based on poetry by the Austrian poet HC Artmann. Poems that are reminiscent of nursery rhymes, but where in addition to a whole pack of Frankenstein comic book heroes and villains fantasy socio-critical voices are being raised. In a word, a pleasure for the eyes, ears and mind!
